Bike Safety – Making Tracks Adapted Safety and Skills Program
Saturday, September 26th (Rain date Saturday, October 10th)
10am – 12pm at the Hubbards Recreation Centre
This session is designed for any child between the ages of 7-13 and their parent/guardian. The goal of this adapted program is to have the child and parent learn together while becoming more confident, knowledgeable and skilled cyclists. The program will focus on the Making Tracks Cycling curriculum, which teaches safety knowledge and skills necessary to cycle safely in the community. Topics will include safety, preparedness, rules-of-the-road and etiquette, technical skills, and community route planning.
Required: Ability to ride a bicycle; a bicycle and properly fitted bicycle helmet; suitable clothes for the weather.
Fee: No fee; however, pre-registration is required; each parent and child must register together
